Audio Feedback

You can leave audio feedback on student assignments. This document covers leaving audio feedback in Word 2007. See Working with the Dropbox: Giving Feedback for more information about leaving feedback for students.

Incorporating Audio Feedback

Always test your microphone before recording. To insert audio feedback in Word assignments,

  1. Open the desired Microsoft Word 2007 document

  2. On the Quick Access Toolbar, Quick Access Toolbar
    click CUSTOMIZE QUICK ACCESS TOOLBAR Customize Quick Access Toolbar button
    The Customize Quick Access Toolbar menu appears.

  3. Click MORE COMMANDS
    The Word Options dialog box appears.

  4. On the Choose commands from pull-down menu, select Commands Not in the Ribbon

  5. Scroll to and click INSERT VOICE

  6. Click ADD
    The command is added to the Quick Access Toolbar.

  7. Click OK
    The command now appears on the Quick Access toolbar in the document.

  8. Click INSERT VOICEInsert Voice button
    A Comment appears in your document where the cursor was placed.
    The Sound Object dialog box appears.

  9. Click RECORD Record button

  10. Speak your message

  11. Click STOPStop button

  12. Click CLOSE
    The audio file is inserted into your document. To hear it, double click on the speaker iconSpeaker icon

  13. To delete the comment, right-click on the comment
    The shortcut menu appears.

  14. Click DELETE COMMENT
    The audio file is deleted.
