Communicator 2007 allows for you to save instant message (IM) conversations. This feature is beneficial when you think you may want to recall key topics of an IM conversation. If you save an IM conversation, you can reopen it and review the matters that you and your colleague discussed. In order for you to recall a saved IM conversation, you will need a word processing application (e.g., Microsoft Word) because Communicator 2007 saves past conversations in Rich Text Format (.rtf). This document will discuss how you can save IM conversations and how to open them using Communicator 2007.
NOTES:
Because IM conversations can be saved, you should maintain a tone that is appropriate for the workplace.
