When reorganizing bookmarks, the position of the cursor when you release the mouse button is very important. This document contains examples of bookmarks before, during, and after re-organization.
NOTE: Reorganizing your bookmarks will not reorganize the pages of your PDF file. For more information on reorganizing your pages, please refer to Organizing PDF Pages.
In the example shown here, Title Page, Introduction, Thesis Support, and Conclusion are all pages on the same level. Point 1, 2, and 3 are all shown in a sublevel of Thesis Support.

This example shows Point 1 being relocated to be the last point.
Point 1 appears above Point 3 in the hierarchy.

Click Point 1 and drag it until a black line and arrow appear directly underneath Point 3
Release the mouse button
Point 1 will appear underneath Point 3.
Point 1 appears underneath Point 3 at the same level in the hierarchy.

This example shows Point 3 being relocated underneath the Introduction.
Point 3 appears in a sublevel of Thesis Support.

Click Point 3 and drag it until a black line and arrow appear underneath the Introduction
Release the mouse button
Point 3 will appear underneath the Introduction.
