Community Connections Volunteer Opportunity
UW-Eau Claire is partnering up with Marshfield Clinic to have student volunteers help patients connect with assistance in food, housing, utilities, clothing, childcare, and transportation.
Community Connections Team is asking for a minimum of a two semester commitment and 3-4 hours per week from volunteers. The application form will ask you to identify blocks of hours that you will be consistently available to volunteer.
April 1, 2015: Application deadline for Summer/Fall (May-December). All application materials must be received by this date.
April 6-8, 2015: Interviews
May 8 & 10, 2015: Mandatory training - times TBD. Volunteers must attend one training session.
*Community Connections is also accepting applications for the Fall/Spring term due by August 1. Students are encouraged to apply early.

NEW Mayo Clinic Health System - Medical Experience (MedEx) College Edition Shadowing Program.
The MedEx-College Edition program at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire is an opportunity for UWEC students with a demonstrated interest in medicine to job shadow physicians. Students accepted to the program will spend 3 half-day sessions job shadowing in different medical specialties during a typical workday in the clinic. Click here to learn more about the program. Pre-Professional Health Science Visit Day will be April 8, 2015 from 12:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m. Visit days will include admissions presentation, information from the Health Careers Center Director, a tour of the Health Careers Center, and a campus tour.
