Topology Diagram

You can see from the topology diagram the anti-parallel Beta sheet motif of erabutoxin b. As mentioned before erabutoxin b is believed to bind to the acetylcholine receptor and blocks it much like the mechinism of action of corbatoxin and curare. The binding region of erabutoxin b is is thought to be from PRO 44 to GLY 49. Many times the active site or binding region is at the topographical switch point. In this diagram the topographical switch point is shown by the dotted line loop between the last two Beta sheet structures.
