AMY RUDOLPH WINS WOMEN's 4K TITLE
Amy Rudolph set a fast pace right
from the gun - pulling 8K champion Deena Drossin clear of the field by the
1K mark. Rudolph lengthend her lead throughout
the race -- but was never able to get free of Drossin who showed little
fatigue from her 8K victory a day earlier. Behind the lead duo, Elva Dryer
ran solo in 3rd, and Cathy Vasto, Becky Spies and
Molly Watcke contended for the final spots on the WC team. Rudolph defends her US Short Course 4K Title -- and looks
forward to the World's where she finished 9th in last year's inaugural Short
Course event. Drossin finishes 2nd, and Elva Dryer,
8th in last year's Worlds, takes 3rd. The US Women's Short
Course Team returns the top three runners from last year's surprising
third place squad.
