This is an
exciting time for graduate studies at UW-Eau Claire. As part of the
university-wide strategic planning process, we have been having several
discussions among our graduate faculty and staff about new ideas.
We have had some suggestions for entirely new graduate degree
programs, for new student support efforts like a second graduate student
recruitment fair or an orientation program for all new graduate students,
and special
presentations on topics such as responsible conduct of research.
Perhaps you have an idea as well? If so, we’d love to hear it, so let us
know! Your graduate experience at UW-Eau Claire is largely what you make of
it. You can be heavily involved, or just passing through. We hope you’ll
choose the former. Nancy and I are eager to hear from you on any topic of
your choosing. Please take advantage of us, and have a great Spring
semester. |

WHY ARE THERE STILL "PR'S" ON MY TRANSCRIPT? Students often inquire as to why their thesis (or Research Paper) credits appear to still be in progress (“PR”) even after they have submitted their thesis/paper. Since grades are not received for these credits, the “PR” will always remain on your transcript. However, once the bound copies have been submitted to Graduate Studies, a completion date will be noted on your transcript, which will appear as:
Month-date-year COMPLETED THESIS If you should encounter a problem with an employer doubting your completion, please have them contact the Office of Graduate Studies.
