Golden Key Executive Board Meeting Minutes

- Plan for spring 2006
- Book Ends (pen-pals)-we need to e-mail the pen-pal participants to remind them to write to pen-pals at Dove.Lori, send Tom the list of participants, and he will do this, or you can.
- Lakeshore after school enrichment: we will bring this up at our first meeting. We can set up dates. Lori, if you know dates that would work, let us know, or Tom can contact
Deb Lewis to figure this out.
- Graduate school fair/workshops: Eric will meet with Dr. Barrett to discuss this.We
need to plan this this semester. It will most likely be around October 16-20th.
*Also, during Honors Week, Golden Key will maybe sponsor a graduate school personal statement workshop lead by Patricia Quinn.
- Essay contest: Tom will write a letter to send to Greg Butler of UWEC schools.
- Uganda children: Tom contacted Heather Hanewall to find out more information about d
money of school supplies to children in Uganda.
- Joint activity with out sister chapter-Northern Arizona University.Tom will contact
Alexis from NAU to set something up. We may try to do a joint fund raiser.
- Sell Katrina wristbands-it may take us a few years to sell them all, but WE WILL!!We
have paid for them all, so the money we make now can go to any place. Paula suggested
sending money to victims of the hurricane in Mississippi because they have been overlooked.

- Meetings
- Most meetings will be on Tuesday at 7 p.m. PLEASE LET TOM KNOW IF THIS TIME DOES NOT WORK FOR YOU.
- February meeting
- Sunday, February 12th at 1:00 p.m. at Higherground. There will be free snacks and Valentines supplies, so we will make cards for people at Eagleton Center and for our
pen-pals.
Also, we will be planning for the semester.
- At our March meeting, we will be electing next year’s officers. This will help fill in our open service chair and historian positions, and some of the new officers will be able to go to the leadership conference in Minneapolis!
