Golden Key Executive Board Meeting Minutes

Attendance:
Lauren Demcak, Bridget Gongora, Shannon Jehn, Emily King, Josh Mondor, Lori Rindahl, Paula Stuettgen, Paul Thompson, Colleen Ware, Greg Wiora, and Linda Zinn.
Discussion:
When attending the conference over the summer, an idea was formed for Homecoming this year.
Our Golden Key chapter will be sponsoring a Homecoming competition known as Can-Struction Competition Thursday, September 30th from 6 pm to 11 pm and Friday, October 1st from 7 am to 9 am.
Judging will proceed at 9 am.
This competition will be a food-drive that will be then given to our local St. Francis Food Pantry. This competition will promote our name, while serving as a fulfillment of service projects.
We will need everyone to contribute to successfully hold this competition, keep this date open and watch for more information!
- Various advertising methods to keep in mind include:
- Chalking
- Signs
- Writing on boards within classes, primarily Honors courses.
- Requesting Professors to speak to their classes.
Anyone interested in taking on additional responsibilities in Golden Key next semester should consider the opportunity to take on the role of President or Vice President, as both will be leaving spring semester.
Important Dates:
Golden Key Regional Summit
On April 1-3rd we are co-hosting the regional summit at The Wilderness in Wisconsin Dells. Paula has submitted our chapter to host the ice breaker!
Graduate Fair
The annual Graduate and Professional School Fair will be held October 12th in the Council Fire Room of Davies Center from 10 am to 2 pm.
New Member Recognition Event
To be held on December 5th although the exact time and place are yet to be announced.
Next Meeting
Our next executive board meeting is Monday, September 20th at 6 pm with the general meeting following at 7 pm.
