Eau Claire: Whites Compared With Racial Minorities

When looking at both maps, it is seen that the Whites occupies a majority of Eau Claire's area.  The Whites occupies up to 100 percent of the areas compared with 27 percent of the minorities area at the highest percentage.  A majority of Whites occupies up to 100 percent in many different regions including:  Third Ward, Ninth Ward, CBD, and Putnam Heights.  Even around Half Moon Lake and in the Exurban, the white race has a higher percentage of occupancy (84 to 92 percent)than the minorities (10 to 20 percent).  In the area around Dell's Pond, the minorities appear to have a higher percentage but the white race still has a higher percentage because the values for each block group are broken up differently.  The minorities range from 10 to 27 percent while the white race ranges from below 76 percent to 84 percent.  In comparing all of the minority groups, 2+ races were not included for computing the percentages because that group could include people from the white race.  The minorities included the groups of Asians, Blacks, Native Americans, Pacific races and other races.
