Arab Community in Dearborn, Michigan
About 30 percent of Dearborn's population in 2008 was of Arabic descent, initially (1920s and 1930s) Christians from such countries as Lebanon and in more recent decades Muslims from Iraq and Yemen. Dearborn has the only Arab-American museum in the United States, representing all the various religious and ethnic groups of the "Middle East."
