Expensive
houses were completely covered with cutstone, but most houses only use a
little bit of it to highlight front-facing walls or picture windows. The
majority of cutstone houses were built from the 1930-1959, with 30%
being built in the 1950s alone.
A map of Eau Claire shows no
distinctive pattern: cutstone is used on many houses across the city.
