                                   Eau Claire: Seasonally Vacant Houses

The adjacent map shows,  homes that are used for particular seasons, weekends, or simply on occation.  This category also includes homes that have duel ownerships. The majority of seasonal vacancies (100-80%) are located the rural areas.  This may in part be due to the popularity of hunting cabins.

The second highest density (80-35%) is in rural areas, in Randal Park, and near Putnam Heights.  Interestingly, this group largely seems to be located along larger water sources.

The third highest density (35-15%) is in the rural and subarban areas.  With the exception of the Half-Moon Lake area,  all the the block groups in this category are not near a large water source.

The lowest density (15-0%) spans over the largest portion of the map showing that a large majority of vacant homes are not seasonally vacant.
