Eau Claire: Six to Seven Room Houses

As the adjacent map shows, six to seven room houses are among the more popular sizing for houses in Eau Claire.  Perhaps in part because of the popularity yet higher expense of this size, the high concentrations (61-42%) are scattered through-out the Eau Claire County.  It should be notted though that the highest density areas are located in either the rural areas placed to the south and north or subarbs such as Putnam Heights, the East Hill, or West of Randal Park.

The second highest density (42-35%) areas are placed for the most part next to or inbetween the highest density.  Again, this area is placed in the rural or subarban areas. These areas allow for bigger lots which would make the building of larger houses possible.  They also tend to be somewhat wealthier areas so that those located there would also have the means to build larger homes.

Block Group 2 (35-26%) is located almost entirely in rural areas.  The few exceptions are the Third Ward and also the Northside Hill.

The last group (26-0%) is also located in the rural areas, but is notably also encampuses a large portion of the downtown.  This shows that the houses in these areas have either larger or, more likely, a smaller room size per house.
