Bacavi

Bacavi sits on the southeastern edge of the Third Mesa.
The Welcome sign indicates the rules for non-Hopi visitors.

Examine five features:
1) Houses on top of the mesa are scattered.
2) Bacavi sits strikingly on the edge of the mesa: three photos show this site: photo1, photo2, and photo3.
3) The oldest parts of the village appear on the topographic map as black elongated shapes.
4) Across the ravine from the village stands the Community Fellowship Church.
5) The sewage disposal ponds are in the ravine itself.
