Marrakesh's mellah or former Jewish quarter. Morocco
has different kinds of cemeteries, reflecting its diverse cultural history.
Although Islamic cemeteries dominate today, they come in many forms,
depending on wealth and region. Historically, Morocco had many Jews, although
today they are almost all gone, they left their presence in distinctive
Jewish cemeteries and a few remanding synagogues.
Jewish cemeteries in other Moroccan cities, such as Fez,
look alike. A Google Earth

clearly shows the distinctive Jewish cemetery. Click on a photo to see a larger version.
