Cochin's harbor has been and continues to be an attractive site for trade in spices, seafood, rice, and container-cargo. Across from Cochin are the high-rise buildings of Ernakulam. The Indian government operates the harbor facilities which provides housing for its workers. A typical bungalow for managers is shown. The Chinese fishing nets are found at the tip of Fort Cochin.
