About GEAR UP

Our Mission:

To collaborate with community, parents and school staff; to create an environment of learning; to inspire and support academic, personal, social and cultural growth and success; and to inform and encourage students and parents to plan for post-secondary education.

Our Goals:

• To bring college awareness to GEAR UP students.
• To inform parents about financial aid and the college admission process.
• To increase language scores at GEAR UP schools.
• To increase the number of students who complete high school and enroll in some form of post-secondary education.
• To sustain the GEAR UP program beyond the years of federal funding.
