Web Publishing Guidelines

Guidelines for the Minority Politics Collaborative Case Studies on the Web
- Each city has a folder on W:\\cass1\deptdir\pols\Freitag. Each city folder has four subfolders (History, Demographics, Government, and Issues). Group members have special permission to access their city folder. Create your web pages on these folders.
- Each city case study on the web must have a main page with links to the different sections of the case study.
- The main page for each city must display the heading "Minority Politics in (your city)" prominently in the text (without the quotations).
- The title given to your main page must be the same as above. (This will be the bookmark title for the reader.)
- The document name for your main page must be "Index" (without the quotations).
- The names of the students in the group must appear on the main page. Provide no more information about yourselves.
- The main page must indicate that this page was created for Pols 350 Group and Minority Politics at the University WisconsinEau Claire and provide links to Professor Freitags Home Page and the UWEC Home Page. Sectional pages must indicate the same information, though abbreviated form is appropriate.
- The date that you most recently updated the page must appear on the main page.
- The sectional pages must provide links back the main page of the city case study.
- The sectional pages must have clear descriptive headings in the text.
- The sectional pages must be given clear descriptive titles.
- The document names for your sectional pages must be short, descriptive, and WITHOUT SPACES.
- Material sources must be cited in the form of linked text where possible and on a separate sectional page. You must include the sources for images as well as content on the sources sectional page.
