Demographics in Boston

Boston Harbor

Although not quite as culturally diverse as the US’s largest cities, Boston is experiencing growth in its minority population. The majority of Boston’s population is white, although the number of whites in Boston has been decreasing while the number of minorities has been increasing. In general, Boston’s income and educational attainment levels are considerably high compared to other American cities. In particular, Boston has a relatively large number of citizens who have received bachelors, graduate, or professional degrees.
