· Approximately 63,000 rental units range from duplexes to high rise apartments. 
· The current vacancy rate is 6.8% 
· Typical rents range from: $375 for economy 2 bedroom to $1329 for a 2 bedroom luxury apartment 
· The neighborhoods in Albuquerque vary as much as the people who live here. Median housing costs range from    $94,000 in the Southwest to $319,000 in the Far Northeast Heights

Now Albuquerque's Educational Standards have risen.
1. Albuquerque ranks 16th in the nation for cities with the most college graduates 
2. The majority of Albuquerque's labor force is under 45 
3. 82.1% have a high school degree or higher 
4. 26.7% have a bachelor's degree or higher 
5. A higher percentage of area adults have college degrees than the U.S. average 
6. New Mexico has the highest per capita number of Ph.D.s in the country. 
7. 34% of the population speaks Spanish 
8.Another 22% speaks a language other than English or Spanish 
  Unfortunately the disparity in the level of education is vast.  High School drop out rates continue to be a problem. (See Issues)
