Gifts to the Foundation can support the Foundation's Excellence Fund, student scholarships, or particular areas or programs at UW-Eau Claire. Gifts of a $1,000 or more will be acknowledged through one or more donor
recognition programs. .
Contributions can be made
through any of the following means:
- Outright contributions
that can be used immediately for a specified purpose or kept undesignated
to meet areas of greatest need.
- Contributions to create new
endowed funds or to support existing ones. Endowed
gifts, which are placed in accounts from which only the annual
investment earnings are used, exist in perpetuity to provide a
sustainable source of revenue.
- Gifts of securities
(stocks, bonds).
- Planned gifts
that will be available for the university's benefit well into
the future. These planned gifts, when realized, may be used outright
or be endowed.
- Matching gifts from
the donor's and/or spouse's employer.
- Pledges than can extend up to five years.
- Gifts-in-kind.
