The UW-Eau Claire Veterans Center was established as a place of welcome for veterans on campus and as a place where veterans can connect to resources specifically for them.
The Veterans Center provides programming addressing veteran needs, access to a telehealth network through a partnership with the Minneapolis Veterans Administration Hospital, meeting space for veteran support groups and a place for veterans to interact.
How can you help support the Veterans Center?
There are many opportunities to support the Veterans Center through your gift to the UW-Eau Claire Foundation. Your gift will provide valuable resources for the veterans Center and enhance the experiences of veterans on campus who have served our country. The amount in parentheses indicates the amount needed to fulfill current obligations.
- Provide funds for a conference table, bookcase, file cabinet, microwave, refrigerator or coffee maker ($500 -$1,000).
- Support an emergency needs fund (gifts of any amount).
- Provide funds for technology: computers, printer ($1,000-$5,000).
- Provide funds for a projector ($500-$1,000).
- Support scholarships for child care (gifts of any amount)..
- Support scholarships for tutoring (gifts of any amount).
How can you contribute to the Veterans Center Support Fund?
After choosing the giving option that is best for you on the Foundation's giving page, type "Veterans Center Support Fund" in the online giving form when designating the use of your gift.
