Keeping the Promise: Campus Campaign 2006

• Gifts to benefit specific departments are one option for faculty and staff deciding where to direct their Campus Campaign contributions. • The Classified Staff Grant Fund is an example of how financial support by UW-Eau Claire employees through the 2005-06 Campus Campaign can have an impact on campus. • Strengthening departmental ties with alumni can yield positive results in terms of support for academic programs. • The UW-Eau Claire Foundation's Blugold Promise Scholarship program is an innovative way to help ensure a quality education remains available to Wisconsin students regardless of their financial limitations.

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

Our belief that the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire is a community of engaged, caring, committed people has been reinforced once again. Your overwhelmingly positive response to Campus Campaign 2006 has touched us both.

To date, more than 360 UW-Eau Claire faculty and staff have made 2005-06 campaign contributions through the UW-Eau Claire Foundation. Annual giving by faculty and staff has averaged an impressive 25 percent participation each year since the Fulfilling the Promise of Excellence campaign began in 2000.

Thank you for your gifts. More than
$1 million in contributions and more than $2.5 million in planned gifts have been pledged by faculty, staff and emeriti since the beginning of the Fulfilling the Promise of Excellence campaign. The effect of this generosity will have an impact throughout the campus for generations to come.

Special thanks to those who attended the Faculty/Staff Appreciation Luncheon. More than 370 attended the event on Feb. 17. Save Feb. 23, 2007, as the date for next year's event.

Please remember that all gifts to the Foundation through June 30, 2006, will be recognized in Campus Campaign 2005-06 totals. If you have not done so already, please consider making a gift.
