Ensuring a Future of Excellence

Fulfilling the Promise of Excellence is part of a multifaceted effort to remove the limits imposed by UW-Eau Claire’s current resources. The university’s plan to maximize its potential includes (1) continuing to actively pursue state funding; (2) continuing to use student tuition resources as effectively and efficiently as possible; and (3) reaching out to our alumni and friends through our comprehensive campaign.

Fulfilling the Promise of Excellence began its quiet phase in 2000, and UW-Eau Claire seeks the campaign’s successful conclusion by 2005. An assessment conducted in the years before the campaign revealed the need to build UW-Eau Claire’s resource base if we are to achieve our vision for the future: (1) to maintain and enhance our tradition of excellence in learning and service and (2) to reach those who previously have been underserved.

• To Our Alumni:
  UW-Eau Claire alumni know firsthand the importance of continuing the university’s tradition of excellence. Their participation in the campaign will ensure that their alma mater remains a pre-eminent regional public university, in essence securing the value of their academic degrees in today’s marketplace.
  
• To Our Friends in the Region and Beyond:
  Our non-alumni friends in the region and others with strong ties to the Chippewa Valley clearly understand UW-Eau Claire’s role as a catalyst for economic and cultural development in our surrounding communities. Support from these friends will enable us to continue serving this important role and to seize the many opportunities for increased cooperation between the university and the many publics we serve.
