Dear UW-Eau Claire Community,

Our experience as co-chairs of Campus Campaign 2003-04 has reaffirmed what we’ve already believed for many years: The faculty and staff at UW-Eau Claire are an exceptional group.

Thank you for your generous response to the recent invitation to participate in Campus Campaign 2003-04, “Empowering Each Other.” So far this fiscal year, 319 UW-Eau Claire faculty and staff have made campaign contributions through the UW-Eau Claire Foundation. Your gifts make an important difference for people and programs throughout the university, and they bolster the efforts of the Foundation to secure private funding from alumni and friends through its ongoing comprehensive campaign, Fulfilling the Promise of Excellence.

Thank you as well to all who attended the UW-Eau Claire Foundation’s third annual Faculty and Staff Appreciation Luncheon on Feb. 13. Approximately 340 faculty and staff enjoyed the luncheon buffet and camaraderie, and more than 30 people left with some great door prizes. (See photos from the event.) If you didn’t make it, be sure to plan on attending the fourth annual luncheon in 2005!

All faculty and staff contributions to the Foundation through June 30, 2004, will be recognized as gifts to Campus Campaign 2003-04. You can direct your gift to areas where you have the greatest interest, and all gifts are confidential. Also, while the total dollar amount raised is important, more critical to the success of the Foundation’s comprehensive campaign is the percentage of faculty and staff who participate. Please consider making a gift and being a part of this important effort for UW-Eau Claire, its students, faculty and staff!

Every day we are inspired by the great work being done throughout this university. Thank you for all you do to contribute to UW-Eau Claire’s tradition of excellence.

Faculty and staff members can contribute to Campus Campaign 2003-04 anytime through June 30, 2004. To make a gift, complete the Campus Campaign pledge card sent in late January to all faculty and staff and return it via campus mail to the UW-Eau Claire Foundation, 214 Schofield Hall. If you misplaced your pledge card or did not receive one, contact the Foundation at 836-5630 and one will be sent to you.
