What is the UW-Eau Claire Parents Fund?
The Parents Fund is an important source of support for great learning at UW-Eau Claire — support that tuition and state funding cannot cover alone. Annual gifts from parents and other family members of UW-Eau Claire students make up the Parents Fund.
Why should I contribute to the Parents Fund?
By pursuing a college education, your child has made an important step toward a bright future. On average, a person with a college degree earns
$1 million more over a lifetime than someone with a high school education. Your son or daughter also will have the distinction of earning a degree from UW-Eau Claire, a university that consistently captures nationwide attention because of its reputation for academic excellence.

Your gift to the Parents Fund will directly support programs and initiatives that are UW-Eau Claire’s marks of excellence — essentially securing and enhancing the value of your child’s college degree. In addition, your contribution is a way to honor your child, as all donors to the Parents Fund are recognized in the UW-Eau Claire Foundation annual report of donors.
What specific programs does the Parents Fund support?
The Parents Fund helps provide the margin of excellence that sets UW-Eau Claire apart from other universities. Gifts to the Parents Fund, along with other unrestricted gifts from alumni and friends, help support:
• major support for the UW-Eau Claire Blugold Family Connection program
• $475,000 each year in student scholarships and fellowships
• faculty/student collaborative research projects
• international study opportunities for students
• faculty professional and curriculum development initiatives
• Honors Program courses
• awards recognizing outstanding faculty and staff
• additional opportunities for enhanced teaching and learning as they arise.
Ways to make your gift
• An outright gift via check, made payable to the UW-Eau Claire Foundation, or a donation made via MasterCard, Discover, Visa or American Express.

• A gift of stock. (Contact us for more information on how to complete this type of gift.)

• A five-year annual pledge to the Parents Fund.
• A matching gift. You also may increase the value of your donation with a matching gift from your or your spouse’s employer. Check with the UW-Eau Claire Foundation or your company’s human resources office to see if a gift-matching program exists.
