Lab Hours for Fall Semester 2008

Monday 8am-7pm
Tuesday 9am-9pm
Wednesday 8am-7pm
Thursday 9am-9pm
Friday 9am-4pm
Saturday: Closed
Sunday 4pm-8pm

 

Note: If students wish to use the lab on Sundays during lab hours from 4-8pm, the ONLY entrances from the outside of Hibbard that will be open are the doors located at the Hibbard handicap parking lot and the doors on the Ecumenical Center side of the building, where the handicap accessible entrance is located.

Instructions for lab exercises:

1. Log-in
2. Click on computer icon (upper left-hand corner)
3. Select J: drive under network drives (there may be a slight delay)
4. Select Foreign Language folder
5. Select Library folder
6. Select appropriate language folder
7. Select language level and chapter

Headphones are to be plugged in under the table in one of three headphone jacks.  Black plug in left unit, red plug in right unit.

For access to w:drive for class/professor scans

1. Log-in
2. Click on computer icon (upper left-hand corner)
3. Select W: drive under network drives (there may be a slight delay)
4. Select forlng folder
5. Select language
6. Select professor, class and title of scan as specified by the professor
7. Open file and review; print if necessary

Instructions for Voice Recordings in Media Master:

1. Go to start menu (lower left-hand corner)
2. Select All Programs
3. Select Multi-Media
4. Select Media Master
5. Record using student voice recording option
6. Play back.  Record as many times as you like until satisfied with recording.  You may name multiple files and go back and listen to each one, then select which to save.  Be sure to delete files you do not want.
7. Save select recording as an MP3 file (NOT WAV file) in the following:
  a. Find W: drive
  b. Select FORLNG folder
  c. Select language
  d. Select your instructor
  e. Select your class/section
  f. Select YOUR folder listed with your username
  g. Save
