Anne Hlas is Assistant Professor of Spanish and Foreign Language
Education. She is a native of Wauwatosa, Wisconsin and received her
bachelor's degree and Master's degree in Spanish from the University of
Wisconsin-Madison. She received her doctoral degree in Foreign Language
Education with a specialization in technology from the University of
Iowa in 2005. Dr. Hlas recently received the 2005 Emma Marie
Birkmaier award for outstanding dissertation work from the American
Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages.
She is the Department of Foreign Language webmaster and she loves learning and playing with new technologies. She also enjoys traveling,
conferencing and spending time with her family and friends. She is happy to be back in Packer country.
