Study Abroad Course considerations:
Students can take SPAN 352 (Contemporary Spanish American Civilization, 3 credits) plus a 3 credit course from an ITESM professor such as History of Mexican Art, History of Mexico, or Business in Mexico.
Students take courses in Spanish, at the appropriate level, and two courses in English History of Civilization of Central America (HIST 411) and an Environmental Seminar, Conservation of Sustainability (Geog LD GE III) .
Students can earn 16 credits in Spanish language, literature, and civilization after being placed in one of three levels.
Students can take courses in Spanish and in a variety of subjects related to Latin America.
Substitutions can be accepted for other courses taken abroad after evaluation and approval by the appropriate faculty/department.

Students take courses in Spanish, at the appropriate level, and two courses in English: History & Civilization of Central America (UWEC's History 411) and Race, Ethnicity Social Class (UWEC's Sociology 314).
Students who are more independent and very flexible can choose to study in Argentina, Chile, Costa Rica, or Uruguay through the ISEP-Direct program.
