- This summer's planned electrical outage will occur on Wednesday, August 9, 2006. The effect of this outage will be that Fine Arts, Human Sciences and Services, Towers, Murray, and Hilltop will be without electrical power for a portion of the day. These annually-occurring utility outages allow for preventive maintenance and repairs that prevent unplanned emergency outages due to breakdowns. Another notice of these outages will be made in a late April or early May "2006 Facilities Maintenance Periods" email.
