As part of the Chilled Water Loop Project there will be (2) electrical
transformers that need to be relocated. These transformers feed (3)
electrical panels and power will be shut off during this relocation. One
transformer will be disconnected, relocated and reconnected and then the
2nd transformer will be done the same way.
Areas of interruption:
- Receptacles in the Library: Rooms 1047,1048,1042,1043, entrance
hallway, Main Circulation desk, Computer desks by elevators, trac lighting
in hallway.
- 2nd floor library: Rooms 2022, 2027, 2023, 2024, drinking fountain,
2023, 2032, 2024, 2025, 2029,2023B.
- Old Library: Mechanical equipment in room 1143.
- There may be other areas near the above mentioned areas that were not
labeled and might be affected. Some room numbers may have changed and had
not been updated on the panel ID.
- I would suggest saving data on the computers prior to this power shut
down. I also suggest manually shutting down the computers to prevent any
power surge type problems that may occur.
- I will let people know as soon as the power transfer is over so
everyone can get back to normal. If there are any problems after the power
is back on then please contact me 836-5906 and I will have these items
corrected. Some circuit breakers may trip when the power loads are
starting.
