Karen Stuber

Assistant Director, Event Services

Karen Stuber has been appointed assistant director for Event Services. She has worked in the University Centers since March of 1969 and began her long term of employment as the university calendar secretary for Student Activities and University Programs. Stuber became manager of the conferences and reservations complex in 1982. Currently, her primary responsibility is to coordinate events scheduled in the Davies Center while providing support to Zorn Arena, Schofield Auditorium and other facilities as needed.

She directs the work of full-time, limited-term and student staff who are responsible for the production, technology, scheduling and supervision of events, as well as the student building managers, operations team, and production and technical operations coordinator and related staff. This position allows Stuber to work with outside public groups such as the Eau Claire Area Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Eau Claire Chamber of Commerce for possible events the University could sponsor. Stuber is a member of the Association of Collegiate Conference and Events Directors-International and the Association of College Unions-International.
