The ESL program is committed to non-native speakers' development of effective oral and written communication skills, which are essential to successful integration of international students into academic coursework and campus life.
Our goal is to create a bridge between learners' English language studies in their home country to using their English skills successfully in university courses. The ESL Program assists learners to become effective communicators in diverse English speaking contexts, and to accomplish a wide variety of social and academic tasks in English. We have succeeded when, upon completion of our ESL program, students are ready to compete side-by-side with native speakers of English in academic courses.
