A Summary of Possible Internship Responsibilities
- desktop publishing, writing, and editing
in accordance with style guides
- editing of manuscripts, newsletters, marketing
pieces, catalogs, web pages, or software programs
- desktop publishing of newsletters, manuscripts,
handouts, brochures, posters
- writing technical documentation, marketing
pieces/catalogs, training manuals, newsletters, advertisements,
news releases, grant proposals
- conducting online and library research when
necessary to obtain or verify information, to learn new skills
Examples of What You Will Learn
You will learn how to:
- develop your technical skills:
writing, editing, web publishing, and desktop publishing
- work independently and collaboratively and
manage a variety of tasks
- apply your classroom knowledge to a real
work setting
