Eau Claire author pens book tracking paw prints left on human hearts: In "From the Mouths of Dogs: What Our Pets Teach Us About Life, Death, and Being Human" (University of Nebraska Press, $24.95), Hollars reveals lessons Chippewa Valley residents have gleaned from animals in their lives.


English prof combines music with literary masterpieces to create 'lit hop' album: Dr. Joel Pace certainly isn't the first person to find inspiration in the writing of American novelist F. Scott Fitzgerald, author of the famous novel "The Great Gatsby."

Jones Honors

All shook up: Understanding how Elvis and rock 'n' roll influence American culture: Dr. Jones is using one popular music genre —rock 'n' roll —to help a class of Honors students think differently about music, motivating them see music not only as a form of entertainment but as a broader social movement that transforms cultural norms.
