Events

The Blugold Beginnings program includes campus tour days and events where students have the opportunity to visit the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire campus, allowing them to become comfortable in a university setting. The main focus of these events and the program is to inspire a student’s belief that higher education is important and attainable because support is available. Mentors will supervise and guide students during all activities and campus tours. This time allows students to bond with their mentors and ask questions about how they became a part of the university.

Campus Events

Blugold Beginnings provides several social/informational events for participating students throughout the year. These events are an opportunity for students and their mentors to connect while becoming comfortable on a college campus. These events also provide a time for students to connect with other students to provide peer support. These events give students hands-on experiences of campus life at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in a fun, educational, and structured way.
