(For UWEC Current Students)

College Mentors can work with elementary, middle, or high school community youth while promoting higher education and providing academic support. Work study is available. Service Learning hours can be earned in all mentoring positions. Freshmen through graduate students are welcome to apply. Training provided and required. Elementary Site Coordinator Application

The Blugold Beginnings Program is looking for a committed, responsible and motivated students to serve as Blugold Beginnings Site Coordinators. Site Coordinators will be assigned to one elementary school and responsible for the mentors, youth, and programming at that school.

Student Application
5th-12th Grade (Mentee)

Blugold Beginnings provides trained college mentors for fifth through twelfth grade students during and afterschool. Mentors provide homework help, as well as college and career exploration activities. Campus tour days and summer camps are also available. Program hours are specific to each school. Additional information and schedule materials will be sent home after the application has been approved. Apply now to become a part of this great program!.
