The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire is excited to present Blugold Beginnings!
The purpose of the Blugold Beginnings program is to educate and inspire students, especially underrepresented, low income, or first generation students, to believe that a post-secondary education is important, attainable, and available at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and other institutions.

Ffth graders from 29 schools, 1700 students, will be visiting campus April 25-26 to learn about the options and benefits of higher education. Over 300 college students and faculty are volunteering their time to give campus tours and lead mock college classes for the fifth graders. Over 1000 runners and walkers supported area mentor programs with the RCU Charity Classic. Blugold Beginnings and the Kinship Program were selected as the benefactors of the funds raised from a spaghetti dinner fundraiser and registration fees to participate. A grand total of $11,200 was generaously donated to Blugold Beginnings by RCU. Funds will be used for summer camp scholarships, programming materials, and academic year scholarships.
