Meal PlanMeal Plan Dollar Account balances remaining from fall semester will automatically rollover for use during spring semester — if you are on a meal plan for the spring semester. (If not, you must use what is left in your Meal Plan Dollar Account by mid-December or forfeit the balance.)
Your Meal Plan Dollar Account balance must be zeroed out by the end of spring semester or the balance will be retained by the University.
If additional deposits are made to a Meal Plan Dollar Account and you have not used all of the additional Meal Plan Dollars by the end of spring semester, the Blugold Card Office will transfer, upon request, any remaining Meal Plan Dollars to your Blugold Account after the end of the academic year. No money will be transferred unless a minimum of $10 remains in the Meal Plan Dollar Account. Transfer requests will be accepted the week before final examinations begin.
If the meal plan participant is suspended
from the University during the course of the semester, any balance of
additional Meal Plan Dollars will be refunded upon the
student’s
request.
It is the responsibility of the meal plan participant to notify both of these offices when intending to officially withdraw from a meal agreement:
The balance remaining from the initial Meal Plan Dollar purchase required each semester will be refunded only under the following circumstances:
If one of these circumstances occurs, the Meal Plan Dollar Account balance will be transferred to the participant’s UW Eau Claire Student Account administered by the University Business Office. If payment is due the university, the Meal Plan Dollar Account balance will be applied to the balance due. If all fees have been paid in full, a check will be issued to the student for the Meal Plan Dollar Account balance. A $50 administrative fee will be retained by the University.
