Your Feedback Matters

Bring concerns to the attention of one of the full-time or student managers in each Blugold Dining unit. Get to know the managers at each dining area, and let them know when things are going right or wrong.

Fill out a Blugold Dining comment card and put it in the box provided in each food service unit. These evaluations are reviewed daily by Blugold Dining management staff. Responses are written and placed on the bulletin board located in each dining room.

Bring persistent or ongoing problems to meetings of the Blugold Dining Committee.

Complete a Blugold Dining evaluation form at the end of each year. The results are distributed to and discussed with the Blugold Dining Committee and Blugold Dining management staff to directly improve service the following semester. These evaluations are used to determine whether the contractor is meeting the standard of the contract, or whether any unit under the responsibility of the contractor should be removed due to unsatisfactory quality of food and service.

Blugold Dining Committee

The Blugold Dining Committee provides university administrators and the dining services management staff with feedback and ideas regarding the overall university dining services program. The committee meets every week beginning the second week of each semester. Several specific topics covered in each committee meeting include menu planning; program planning; problems that are ongoing or persistent; and how well the dining services program meets the needs of the students. The chair is always a student.

This is the voting membership of the Blugold Dining committee:

  • one member from each residence hall
  • a representative from the United Hall Council
  • one residence hall director
  • one member of the Student Life Commission of the Student Senate

The non-voting committee members include the director of University Centers, the Blugold Dining director, and other dining services staff.

Each year, members of the Blugold Dining Committee travel to one or more schools to evaluate other dining service programs and develop new ideas for campus dining at UW-Eau Claire.
