Catering Guidelines  

MENU

Due to unforeseen circumstances, menu changes may be required. Blugold Catering will, in all instances, substitute a comparable or greater quality product that is consistent with the menu. Special dietary, children's and additional vegetarian alternatives are also available.

GUARANTEE

We require a final count for events over 100 people seven working days in advance or three days in advance for events under 100 people. You will be financially responsible for 100 percent of your final guarantee or the actual number of guests served, whichever is greater. If a guarantee is not provided, your last estimate becomes your guarantee.

We prepare food for 5 percent above the guaranteed number. For groups of 50 people or less an additional service fee of $.50 per person will be incurred. For orders occurring on holidays there may be an additional charge for labor and services.

SETUP AND DELIVERY

Off-campus deliveries and setups will be assessed a delivery charge based on the size, distance and time of the event. Service staff will periodically monitor your event should any extra food or service be required.

CANCELLATIONS

There is no charge for cancellations made at least three working days prior to the event. Cancellations made thereafter are subject to charges of costs already incurred. Excludes special order items that have been ordered in advance.

METHODS OF PAYMENT

Full payment is due within 30 days of the event. University accounts will be billed directly. Off-campus groups are required to prepay 50 percent of the estimated bill before the event. All pricing in this brochure is subject to change. We accept checks, Mastercard and Visa.

TABLE LINENS AND AMENITIES

All served meals include linen tablecloths and napkins at no additional charge. The following items are also available for your event - mirrored tiles, three and five branch candelabras, mechanical candles for silver candelabras, silver nut, mint and compote dishes, fine china and flatware, cushioned chairs, silk ficus trees and plants (with or without lights), grand and upright pianos, glass candlesticks, crystal punch bowls, silver punch bowls, slide projector, video cassette recorder, video data projector, coat racks, portable fans and wheelchair. REMOVAL OF FOOD

Due to regulation of the health department and catering industry standards, any food not consumed at the event may not be removed, except by Blugold Catering.

ALCOHOL SERVICE

The possession or consumption of alcoholic beverages outside the residence halls is governed by established policies administered through the Director of University Centers. Such possession or consumption is not permitted on campus, other than at catered events in authorized areas. The primary authorized area is W.R. Davies Center. In exceptional circumstances, the Chancellor may grant special authorization for events elsewhere on campus grounds.
