    1. State policies have more impact than people realize; importance of state elections – currently full Democratic leadership in WI (except AG)
    2. It’s easy to get overwhelmed, but a small group of people can make change. Just start by showing up

    4. 12 days, we need people to make phone calls, calling Dems who only vote in Presidential elections and trying to encourage them to vote now – if they vote, we’ll win
    5. Canvassing is even better than phone calls, it’s more personal – Gore in 2000 won WI by 1 vote per ward, making phone calls and going door-to-door matters

      2. Voter apathy – mindset of students – need to focus on getting people aware and out there. Frustrated with Dems at the moment but don’t want to vote Rep so they don’t vote at all. New focus, “Why should I care?” put a face to the issues and not just a party.
