Senator Russ Feingold

Russ Feingold is an independent voice in the United States Senate.  He is known as an effective, bipartisan legislator who is well respected in both domestic and foreign policy.  Throughout his service, Russ has always done what he thought was right for Wisconsin – even when it meant going against the status quo in Washington.

Senator Herb Kohl

During his time in office, Senator Kohl has been recognized as a strong advocate for children's issues. Kohl was the author of legislation to expand the school breakfast program and a strong supporter of child nutrition programs.

Additionally, Kohl has received acclaim as a strong defender of Wisconsin's farming tradition. Kohl led the effort to extend the Milk Income Loss Contract (MILC) program, which has provided $414 million to Wisconsin dairy farmers struggling with plummeting milk prices.

Representative Ron Kind

Born and raised in La Crosse, Ron grew up along the Mississippi River with his two brothers and sister, and his parents Greta and Elroy. From early on, his parents taught Ron the western Wisconsin values of hard work and common sense - values he has carried with him to Washington.

Ron's dedication to public service and his deep appreciation for the hardworking people of western Wisconsin inspired him to run for Congress in 1995.  Ron took his western Wisconsin values to Washington as the U.S. Representative to the Third Congressional District in January 1996.

State Representative Jeff Smith

Jeff was elected to the State Assembly for the first time in 2006 and was re-elected in 2008. He now serves as Chair of the Committee on Elections and Campaign Reform. He is also a member of the Committees on Colleges and Universities, Education, Financial Institutions, Renewable Energy and Rural Affairs and Public Safety.

During his time in the Assembly, Jeff has made protecting Chippewa Valley values a priority.
