The risk of rape is four times higher for women ages 16 to 24, the prime dating age, than for any other population group.

• One in four women in college today have been victims of rape, and almost 90% of them knew their assailants.
• Most recent figures report that more than 55,000 American women were raped each month – over 1,800 per day.
• A woman has a four times greater chance of being raped by someone she knows than by a stranger.
