Rule or Statutory Requirement Institutional Evidence

PI 34.15 (7) General Education.

The conceptual framework also identifies the general education program required of initial teaching candidates. Each institution must describe how it ensures that each candidate has knowledge and understanding in all of the following areas through their participation in its general education program:
a. Written and oral communication.
b. Mathematics.
c. Fine arts.
  • Syllabi: Art 105; Art 106
d. Social studies.
e. Biological and physical sciences.
f. The humanities, including literature.  
g. Western and non-western history or contemporary culture.
