Center for Collaborative Leadership in Education

Mission/Vision

Mission

The UWEC Center for Collaborative Leadership(CCL) will identify and secure resources to help educators and human science professionals at all levels develop collaborative leadership practices as a mechanism to foster excellence in teaching and learning.

The CCL is committed to the belief that the long-term success of a school, community or a society depends on multiple forms of active, collaborative leadership. Thus, the CCL provides students, university faculty and staff, and practitioners in education and human sciences arenas opportunities to examine collaborative leadership practices and their relationship to contemporary issues and legislative imperatives influencing community development.

Vision

"The CCL will be consistently recognized as the most dynamic and productive regional resource for the study, development, and implementation of collaborative leadership practices."

To achieve this vision, the CCL will coordinate activities and incentives that bring together undergraduate and graduate students, university faculty, and educators from diverse settings to carry out research and study of collaborative leadership, prepare education and human sciences leaders with the knowledge and skills needed to address the realities of supporting growth in an increasingly diverse region, and provide a forum for sharing exemplary practices. As a result, the CCL will increase the capacity of university, school, and regional agencies to orchestrate and sustain improvements in educational quality for all learners.

Excellence. Our Measure. Our Motto. Our Goal.
