New
Partnership with Jeonju University, Korea
The
University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire has signed a collaborative
partnership agreement with Jeonju National University, a university
that prepares elementary teachers in Korea. The partnership, the
first ever U.S. partnership for Jeonju, will provide an opportunity
for brief faculty exchanges. We will also welcome a group of
students from Jeonju who will participate in an English language
course through Continuing Education on the UW-Eau Claire campus in
summer 2006. Drs. Sue Mc Intyre, Joe Morin, Katherine Rhoades, and
Roger Tlusty met with the delegation from Jeonju when they visited
campus recently.
With
Gratitude from the Dean
Words
often fail when I attempt to find vocabulary that is sufficiently
expansive to thank you all for your dedication and significant
contributions to students, your departments, the college and the
university. But as you gather with family and friends during the
next few weeks, please know that you are deeply appreciated and that
your work has made a substantive difference in building a sound
foundation for the College of Education and Human Sciences. I look
forward to working with you in 2006!
Enjoy
the end of the semester! |
