The
purpose of this e-newsletter is to keep you informed about the
transitions and continuing developments within the College.
Faculty
Fellowships-Apply by April 30th
The
Center for Collaborative
Leadership in Education announces a call for proposals to
all College of Education and Human Sciences faculty for the first
Wiliams-Rhoades Fellowship. Bruce C. and Katherine A. Rhoades
established the Theresa Eleanor Williams and Helen Marie Rhoades
fund in September 2002 to honor Theresa, Katherine’s mother who died
in 2001, and Helen, Bruce’s mother who died in 2002. The goals of
the fellowship are to promote collaboration and encourage innovative
work that arises from collaboration across departmental disciplines,
between COEHS and public schools or agencies, or between faculty and
students. Two $500 fellowships or one $1,000 fellowship will be
awarded each academic year. Applications are due April

A
generous gift
Dr. Bob
and Pat Gilberts have donated a parcel of land to the UW-Eau Claire
Foundation which will be sold (asking price is $110,000) with the
proceeds going to establish a new endowment fund in the College of
Education and Human Sciences. Bob, who graduated from UW-Eau Claire
with an elementary education degree, is the recently retired Dean of
Education at the University of Oregon, a position he held for
twenty-three years.
