Associate
Dean Appointed
Pat Christopherson has
accepted an appointment as the full-time Associate Dean of the
College
of Education
and _____ , pending Chancellor Mash’s final approval of the proposed
organizational changes after consultation with the University
Faculty on August 25,
2004.
Special
Meeting of University Faculty
The Chancellor has
scheduled a Special Meeting of the University Faculty regarding
university organizational changes during the opening week of the
2004-2005 academic year. We will convene Wednesday, August 25,
8:00-10:00
a.m.
in Schofield Auditorium.
College
Transition Team
Sean Bulger (Kins),
Gloria Fennel (SW), Carol Koroghlanian (FED), Sue Mc Intyre
(C&I), Laure O’Keeffe (SPED), and Larry Solberg (CDS) will
comprise the College Transition Team. After an organizational
meeting Thursday, June
24, they will develop a plan of action and timeline to
guide their consideration of a number of items that will be
presented at the first College meeting Wednesday, August 25 in the Hibbard
Penthouse, beginning with a buffet lunch at
noon with
a meeting to follow 1:00-4:00
p.m.
Meetings of the
Transition Team are open and agendas will be distributed to faculty
and staff prior to meetings.
D2L
Site
In an effort to
facilitate feedback, encourage discussion, and share documents and
ideas, we plan to set up a D2L
Transition Site for faculty and staff. We will notify you
when the site is available for use.
Farewell
to Karen Tallant
Karen Tallant has
accepted an LTE position in the Registrar’s office. Her vacant
position will be filled and relocated in the College office with the
Dean and Associate Dean. We wish Karen all the best and thank her
for a decade of outstanding service.
